Events: Kritika Kultura Lecture Series presents Celina Tzui-hui Hung

 
Kritika Kultura, the international refereed journal of language, literary, and cultural studies of the Department of English, Ateneo de Manila University will host a lecture by Celina Tzui-hui Hung titled “Creolizing the Sinophone Pacific.” The lecture is on Nov. 28, 2017, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at CTC 413, Ateneo de Manila University. The lecture is open to the public.

Call for Papers: Forum Kritika on Food Transformations: Eating and Wasting in the Anthropocene (extended to Dec. 31, 2017)

 
The Forum Kritika on Food Transformations aims to gather essays that propose new theoretical and methodological ways to understand literary food in the context of 21st century concerns, among them, corporate capitalism, sustainability, ecophobia, cultural and national identities, the Anthropocene, and transnational food systems. Closing date extended to Dec. 31, 2017.

Events: Itinatampok ng Kritika Kultura Reading Series ang Gantala Press

 

Inihahandog ng Kritika Kultura—sa tulong ng Department of Fine Arts (AdMU)—ang isang panayam ng mga patnugot ng Gantala Press, isang malayang palimbagang feminista na sinusulong ang mga akda na hinggil sa—at gawa ng—mga kababaihan. Ang mga tagapagsalita ay sina Faye Cura, Janine Dimaranan, Beverly Wico Siy, at Rae Rival. Ang panayam ay sa Martes, ika-10 ng Oktubre 2017, mula 5:00 p.m. hanggang 6:30 p.m., sa Faber 101, Ateneo de Manila University. Ang panayam ay bukas sa lahat.

The launch, followed by a simple reception, is open to the public.
