Kritika Kultura Reading Series presents Gina Apostol

Kritika Kultura, the international refereed journal of language, literary, and cultural studies of the Department of English, Ateneo de Manila University, will be hosting a reading and lecture by novelist Gina Apostol on April 10, 2014, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Natividad Galang Fajardo Room, De La Costa Hall, Ateneo de Manila University. The event is co-sponsored by the Ateneo Institute of Literary Arts and Practices and the Fine Arts Program of the School of Humanities, Ateneo de Manila University.

New York-based Apostol was the Bennett fellow, writer-in-residence at the Phillips Exeter Academy, where she finished the first draft of her novel Gun Dealers’ Daughter, winner of the 2013 PEN Open Book Award. She has two other books: Bibliolepsy (U of the Philippines P) and The Revolution According to Raymundo Mata (Anvil).

This event is part of the Kritika Kultura Reading Series, which aims to give a space for emergent writers to read from their newly published projects or works in progress.
